It is yours to use. No one can take it from you!

First day at school by Cela

How does it feel to be so close to the … END? That’s right, you are Advanced now and feel like making sure everyone knows that you are fluent and are about to finish the journey. Remember your very first day at The Casa or at any other language school? As a basic student... How threating did it feel to face an English-speaking-only teacher right there, in front of you? What about the other students? “OMG, how much do they possibly know? Much more than I do, for sure.”

I bet some of you still remember the first songs you tried to sing and translate since “I am now an English student.” Gaming became easier as you started reading texts and exploring the language beyond the books, and it did feel so good, didn’t it?  All of a sudden you started communicating properly and was even able to disturb classes in English. Did you notice that? Trust me, you are so able to do it. In hindsight, you wish you had done things in a different way, don’t you? Do you? Does that matter? Nooope.

The point now is to enjoy being able to explore a bigger world since you master the use of such a powerful tool. Moreover, and that’s why we’re getting together at this cyber space, it’s now time to start thinking of how you are going to maintain the quality of your language usage. What are some effective ways to avoid language loss? How do you plan to do it? How is English going to be part of your world when you leave the classroom after 5B? Let’s make a plan together.

  1. I´d love to hear more about this plan on how to keep up with English when you graduate at the Casa.
